At MicroFocus Software we have developed a broad array of software solutions for
our clients for more than 15 years. We've done database development
and website development for companies ranging in size from Small
Business to Fortune 100. In many cases, in addition to developing new software packages,
we have provided the code needed to permit a client's existing software packages
to work together. See MicroFocus Software Clients and Projects for
some examples.
We work closely with our clients to ensure we understand all the client needs and
then create a plan with detailed time and cost estimates so that the client is always
aware of the status of the project as it proceeds to completion. We want
to ensure that our clients always is aware of the status of the projects being implemented
by MicroFocus Software and work hard to ensure this happens.
Another method MicroFocus Software uses to provide superior products to our clients
is due to our never ending devotion to learning. Over the course of a year
MicroFocus Software employees spend at least 20% of each work week learning the
latest technologies and staying abreast of current industry trends. This is
why we have spent so much time learning website design, website
development, and database development using ASP.NET, SQL Server, XML,
JavaScript, VB.NET, C#, XML, XSL, XSLT, SOAP, and, ADO.NET. We feel
that is essential to being able to provide the absolute best service to our clients
at the lowest cost. Whether it is through attending industry conferences such
as Microsoft's Developer Days (DevDays) attending a formal class such as Microsoft
.NET Developer Training or taking self paced training courses such as the award winning
ones by Applications Developers or studying from some the books listed in the developer
book reviews posted on this website we are continually striving to increase our
knowledge, reduce the time it takes to implement customer project and provide a
better quality product.
We try our best to ensure that clients receive no surprises. MicroFocus
Software takes a number of steps to ensure that this happens. The first step
taken is to write a letter of engagement. The client and a representative
from MicroFocus Software sign the letter stating the overall goals for the
website design or database development project, who will be the owner of the
code produced, and the hourly cost on time and material projects. If there
is any part of the project the MicroFocus Software personnel are not able to do
in a professional manner due to lack of knowledge or experience we are forthright
in admitting this and attempt to help the client obtain the necessary resources
to complete the project satisfactorily.
